Lead English Day

During our English Day 2026 event, themed “Metropolis,” we invite our visitors to dive into an exciting atmosphere and explore the cultures of some of the world’s most amazing cities: Cairo, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok, Las Vegas, New York, and Dallas.

Let’s discover what makes this festival so unique!

This year’s themed exhibitions will showcase the incredible hard work of our participants, who have been preparing for an entire month. Creativity, excitement, and commitment are taking over José Antonio Galán School!

Our 11th graders, LITHIUM PROM, have stepped up as leaders, organizing teams and assigning tasks to younger students as they work together to create an amazing experience and compete with the other student clubs.

As we get closer to the big day, we can’t wait to see each club bring the Metropolis theme to life on September 28. Each classroom will be transformed into a different city, giving students the chance to showcase their creativity, interact with visitors in English, and enjoy this incredible journey together.

A Chance for Holistic Assessment

This experience will be packed with opportunities for everyone to shine! Teachers and judges will keep a close eye on each team’s performance throughout the event using digital rubrics and evaluation forms. Judges will use an app with specific criteria to evaluate each club’s exhibition, helping ensure a fair and thorough selection of the winners.

Who Else Makes It Possible?

This journey wouldn’t be possible without the invaluable support of our teachers, principal, coordinators, parents, cleaning staff, and families.

And there’s even more! For over a decade, our English Day has also welcomed local and international visitors, making this celebration an amazing opportunity to connect, share cultures, practice English, and create unforgettable memories together.

Get ready to explore the world—one city at a time!

Lead English Day

During our English Day 2025 event, themed “The Magic of Myths,” visitors dove into a captivating atmosphere that explored the origins of various cultural beliefs about how the world was created.

Let’s uncover what makes this festival so unique!

The exhibitions showcased the incredible hard work of our participants, who had been gearing up since the previous month. Clubs united students of different grades and ages, collaborating on exciting projects.

The seniors of 2025 chose the theme “Myths.” Every year, the 11th graders step up to lead, assigning tasks to younger members to craft a competitive game plan against other clubs.

A Chance for Holistic Assessment

This experience was packed with opportunities for both formative and summative assessment. Teachers kept a watchful eye on team performance throughout the process using digital rubrics and forms. Judges accessed an app with specific criteria to evaluate each club’s exhibition, ensuring fair and thorough selection of winners based on their results.

Who Else Contributes?

This journey wouldn’t have been possible without our special guests, including local and international visitors like Allison Robertson and Angela McClenton from the USA, along with former Jose Antonio Galan school students.

And let’s not forget the invaluable support from our teaching staff, the principal, coordinators, parents, the cleaning crew, and our families.

Efforts Leading Up to the Event

All club members poured their energy and resources into preparing for the final presentation. English teachers and students came in over the previous weekend, working hard to decorate the rooms and create a vibe that reflected their assigned subtopics.

Final Exhibition

On September 29, 2025, each club showcased their mythical atmosphere settings in designated classrooms, engaging with students and judges in English. This year, the Nordic team took home the win, earning a bonus and a prize for their outstanding efforts!
